We Can't Know Peace Without War

The pre-ceasefire flurry of killing is one of the oddest tactical quirks of modern times. Between the time the United Nations votes on a ceasefire and the time it is implemented both sides get in their final orgy of death, trying to squeeze a month's worth of war into a few hours.
